Sébastien Bellaval has been a scriptwriter and director for the last ten years, working on a wide range of audiovisual projects: documentaries, dramas and music videos, as well as corporate and advertising films.
Born in Toulouse, Sébastien wrote his first screenplay at the age of 21, LES FÉES, which won Celtx's "Best Screenplay of the Week" award, and directed his first short film, FUNKYFISH, which was named "Revelation of the Shortfilm Corner 2010" by the Agence du Court Métrage in Cannes.
With a versatile background, Sébastien trained as an actor's director between 2013 and 2016, directing around ten short films alongside acting coach Damien Acoca. He also directed five music videos for music producer Guts, including AND THE LIVING IS EASY (over 2 million views on YouTube) and PEACEFUL LIFE (broadcast by Groupe M6 and MTV France, 14 awards for best clip at festivals).

Sébastien is currently co-writing with Laetitia Gau an adaptation of the comic strip LA TRISTESSE DE L'ELEPHANT by Nina Jacqmin and Nicolas Antona, which was a bestseller in 2016-2017.
Working since 2013 with various audiovisual production companies such as EPIX STUDIO, DIGITAL CRAFT and MONKYSHOT, Sébastien regularly scripts and directs advertising films for companies such as L'Oréal, La Poste, FIRST PERSONAL XPERIENCE and colleges such as AFTI and ISTEC.
His experience and versatility mean that he can now accompany a film through the entire production chain.
