Old Uncle Farmer - retired in his sixties and eighties - lives in 2050 on a peaceful farm deep in the French countryside. Busy with little 'odds and ends' on his farm, he never misses an opportunity to recount a memory from his youth.
Each story, as real as it is implausible, appears like a flashback to the 2000s.
The unfortunate heroes of these anecdotes, with their extraordinary destinies, came close on more than one occasion to influencing the course of history.
At least, that's what we would have thought if Uncle Farmer hadn't been there.
